Brief: design an innovative chair

Fringe is a chair demountable that can be interpreted as a postmodern replica of the Cantilever chair, a synthesis between futurism, constructivism and minimalism. The design statement also aimed to create a strong contrast between the visible, dynamic metal structure and the translucent seat and backrest surfaces.
The design proposal is easy to mass-produce and is composed from 8 aluminium pipes, 3 metal rings and 2 translucent plastic parts that serve as seat and backrest surfaces. The chair can be easely converted into a simple or bar stool.
